Hello, Im Ellen.

 

As a certified grief recovery coach specializing in loss to suicide, I’m here to help you look at your life - how you got here, the stories you’ve been telling yourself and how I can help you create a life of peace, passion, and happiness that you deserve and didn't think possible. 

 

After going through my own journey of suicide loss three different times in my life and studying everything from from grief to spirituality, I’ve created a loss to suicide grief recovery program to help you unpack your trauma, begin to discover your most authentic self and become who you are meant to be. With my help you will learn to not only survive suicide but thrive despite of it. This is the road map that I use every day to live fully and freely - just like I know you can.

Our Approach

Six elements we believe in to help transform from terrible loss. 

  1. Embodiment -  as hard as it is, to heal, we must come back into and stay present in the body. We leave ourselves when we experience horrific loss or trauma and the only path to healing both the physical and mental, is getting present using mindfulness techniques. Our Embodiment Healing includes things like: somatic body and breath work, sound healing, yoga, Ti Chi, and other types of movement and healing modalities. 

  2. Cognitive Rehabilitation - is where traditional grief recovery coaching and therapy comes in and is necessary to address guilt, shame, self worth, family issues, coping mechanisms, and ultimately  turn your pain into purpose, which is the goal of healing. 

  3. Tribe - none of us can heal alone. We need the support of those who step up to help, a tribe who shares our experience and ultimately in some way, our pain. This usually means learning to navigate those who can’t show up for you and calling in new tribe members who can. Healing also requires the support of working through relationship struggles that emerge as a result of the grief journey. 

  4. Creative Expression - allowing our right brain to emerge offers us the experience of a creative flow that will produce messages, wisdom and connection to our heart. Healing requires getting out of the left brain so the mind can work on creative pursuits such art, free writing and collage.

  5. Spirit Connection - meditation, writing, reflection and specific assignments will help you look at your life, the common themes you carry, where they began, and why they keep occurring. You'll more clearly understand what this life is meant to teach you, and how you can heal and eventually start to give back. We also offer astrology and tarot to those that are open and want to look deeper into life assignments, themes and how best to move forward. 

  6. Nature exposure - Our retreats offer lots of time in nature as spending time outdoors is one of the best things we can do for our bodies, minds and our souls regardless of our struggle. Nature holds a healing frequency that is constant and unchanging. When outdoors doing activities like nature walks, grounding and movement we automatically match with the healing frequency of Mother Nature.
